Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming a strategic component of Europe’s digital, economic, and technological development. Recognizing that advanced AI requires substantial computing infrastructure, data, talent, and cooperation, the European Union has established the AI Factories initiative as part of its broader strategy to build a competitive and sovereign European AI ecosystem. Serbia, although not an EU member state, has an important opportunity to participate in this emerging ecosystem through its growing digital sector, research capacity, computing infrastructure, and close integration with European scientific and economic networks.
SAIFA is part of the European AI Factories network and thus will enable easier access and use of the EuroHPC infrastructure, especially the Pharos AI Factory in Greece and IT4LIA AI Factory in Italy.
The SAIFA consortium cordially invites all interested parties to attend the two-day event entitled Serbia in the European AI Factories Ecosystem that will be held at the Palace of Science (Палата науке), Kralja Milana 11, 11000 Belgrade, Serbia on 15th and 16th of December.
The agenda will be circulated by the beginning of December 2026, in advance of the event.
