SAIFA has four specific objectives:
- Stakeholders mobilization, networking, contribution to the implementation of the EU AI Continent Action Plan, the Serbian AI Strategy and alignment of SAIFA activities with the key sectors of EU AI Factories (see page 5 of AI Continent Action Plan) for safe, secure and responsible application of artificial intelligence.
- Establish an environment as a single-entry point for users from Serbia and abroad to computing time, support services and applications offered by SAIFA and any EuroHPC AI Factory, according to EuroHPC 2021/1173.
- Contribute to the Serbian Industrial Policy Strategy from 2021 to 2030, the Strategy for the Development of the Startup Ecosystem in the Republic of Serbia including corresponding Action Plans and stimulating the development in strategic sectors.
- Foster collaboration and engagement with universities, research centres and other training providers to train and equip students (from academia and industry) at all levels with the necessary in-demand AI skills.
